Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Well this is something I haven't seen before! Anyone knows what the orange icon is all about!?orangeicon.jpg
Guest Vector Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 It looks like the orange update symbol, or orange backup
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Odd, I've never used those. Just appeared all of a sudden! Oh well *shrug*.
Guest Matt Kirby Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Could it be notification that updates are availible?
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Hmmm that's an idea! I'll check that right away... Edited: Nopes that wasn't it. Tried running the Back-Up service, and that wasn't it either. Oh well, just one of Orange's lil perks I guess ;)
Guest caio1 Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Did you use the orange OTA unlock process just before that icon appeared? Caio
Guest Matt Kirby Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 I've done OTA unlock and didn't recieve that icon. I wonder what it is?
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Nopes .. I did the OTA unlock a few weeks back. I was fiddling around with the registry to get the pockettv app to work. Then I wanted to take a screenshot so I opened Remote Display and voila .. Orange Icon ...
Guest martin Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Close you apps and processes one by one and see if any of them make it go away. I want an Orange icon too...
Guest caio1 Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Well, that icon is the one of the "Orange Support" app launched in "startup" folder. I think it's the program that allow orange to lock/unlock your phone. As I'm a bit paranoid I moved the link from the startup folder to the start menu... so orange can't take control of my spv ;) Caio
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Maybe messing around with file associations has confused the cedisp client? Grownup windows can do similar and assign random icons to various shortcuts...
Guest Brody Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Can i ask a question, what is the Camera application in the screenshot??
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 used Orange update yesterday and got that symbol - im sure of it. SpaceCowboy
Guest midnight Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 errr, if you used cerdisp (remote display) to take that screengrab then yes, looks like the file associations have messed up (note the lack of the cerdisp icon)
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Can i ask a question, what is the Camera application in the screenshot?? It's IA Album...
