DOES ANYONE KNOW IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE TO MAKE THESE CARDS USEABLE AGAIN OR AM I LOOKING AT WRITING THEM OFF.

PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THERE'S A WAY TO 'HEAL' MY VERY SICK CARDS.

MANY THANKS,IN ANTICIPATION.

You don't need to post in capitals, thanks.

Is your phone decertified? If so download SP Task Manager from my website (see sig) and use the "format SD card" option.

George, posting in caps is akin to shouting, which in netiquette is very rude. ;)

Anyway most cards have from 1 yr to lifetime warranty, depending on the manufacturer. Worst case, contact your retailer and you could get new ones sent out. All you need is proof of purchase, which need not be limited to the receipts.

firstly,apologies for the CAPITALS.

next,thanks to monolithix for the reply and advice.however,my fone has been de-certed and sp-task manager is an application i have installed.i did try to format via this app but alas,to no avail.

some more info i can give is as follows;

one of the cards seems to be recognised by task manager,as it tells me how much memory is used and how much available,however when i try to transfer files i get the follwing message-'data error(cyclic redundancy check).

the other card is not recognised at all and when put into the spv i am asked if i want to format. pressing yes i get an the following message-error code 1400.

so there you have it.a little more info.hopefully there's someone out there who can help now.

cheers.

Well SD card #1 sounds knackered, if you're getting CRC error's i don't think theres much you can do. If the second card has also suffered a similar fate you might want to look into a repair/replacement under the manufacturers warranty (usually 1 year).
