Guest spark-x Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Hi i just wanted to know what you people thought was a good price for the SPV second hand off network? Obviosuly it depends on the quality/condition but generally? thanks
Guest Firaas Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 About £150-200 is what they're selling for second hand on Ebay. Newer ones can sell upto £280-330.
Guest spark-x Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Cheers mate, I think i'll try and get a 'cheap as possible' one.... have people found the battery life gets worse as the phone ages? one other quick question... if you buy it offline, can you still download the orange updates (if i'm on orange) or do you need to subscribe to gprs for that? thanks!

You need GPRS for the updates. *Theoretically* as the phone ages, you would see worsening battery life - but this would be aging over years and not months. I haven't seen a decline in battery life - only the improvement by the update.
Guest spark-x Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 Thanks everyone, i think i might wait until i can pick one up for about £100-130 I am a poor student :-) afterall
Guest spark-x Posted April 27, 2003 Report Posted April 27, 2003 I upgraded three months ago to the 7210 - i was going to wait for the first software update but went ahead. Although its better than my old 8210 it really isn't different enough... I'm bored already and wish i'd gone for the SPV.... i'm a bit too into modding things and the 7210 is so limiting ;) But, i plan on selling to to a friend and buying the SPV now, or maybe waiting and getting hold of an SPVx....... Not sure if anyone else ever used the SL45 Simens, i loved the mp3 player on that... but it did have a dedicated chip for mp3 decoding...
