Orneta Chess is code signed by GeoTrust and can run in any smartphone also in locked Orange SPV phones:

Some features of Orneta Chess:

- the application is now certified to comply with logo "designed for MS Smartphone"

- one can set level of playing and the time of "thinking" of the computer - so the program can play at any level (the playing engine is not bad anyway even with standard time) - you can set "time" (of "thinking") and "depth" (of searching - "thinking")

- the state of the game is saved so you can close the program (or it can be even killed) but the state of the game is not lost - you can play thus in one game over many many days (months, years)

- there is possibility to show history of latest moves

- the program is strongly multi-threaded: you can move cursor and use menu while the program is "thinking"

- in trial version there is no time limit, and no limit in number of games, but you can play only 8 moves per each game.

Non-the-less, having a chess program on the SPV is great (if you enjoy chess, which I do). Just have to see how smart the Orneta people have made my phone.

just bought the game but when i type in the registration key it tells me its invalid so i'm stuck with the trial version even though i've paid :cry:

Go to this menu position in your smartphone:

- Programs

- Settings

- Owner Information

and in the field "Name" enter EXACTLY the same name (Smartphone ID) that you entered during buying of this game. Then use registration code that Handango has sent to you and it will work - we have tested it and it really works, believe me. It is simply the standard mechanism that Handango offers. The only reason of problems is that users have in their smarpthones in the field "Name" other name than this one that they entered during purchase.

If you would still have problems then sent email to [email protected] - we will answer in maximum 24 hours, but rest assured, all your needs will be satisified.

- soon all Orneta applications (both commercial and freeware) will be signed to run in any smartphone (locked SPV included)

- it may yet take some time till all our efforts in signing and certification will be visible in the shop (i.e. Handango) so please be patient - but we are working on it!

In case you are trying to register Orneta Chess 1.14 on your SPV, the registration code provided by Handango/Orneta may be wrong if your name spells with an umlaut character (ä, ö, ü) or any special character (è, é, à, ç, etc.).

That is because with some special characters in your name, the engine on Handango/Orneta calculates differently. They are working on a solution for that problem but can give you the correct code if you contact: [email protected]

Once I received the new code (which was very fast), I could use the chess game perfectly. :wink:
