Bug: Cannot erase digits in Settings Update Authentication

SYMPTOM:

Unbelievable! It makes you wonder if Microsoft bothered testing this phone at all!

I'm currently unable to access any WAP sites (not a great loss, you may say ... :D and in trying to resolve the problem, Orange have sent me OTA settings updates.

When one of these is recieved, it asks for a 4 digit PIN number to authenticate their installation (a good idea, if you ask me - stops rogue companies redirecting your GPRS onto their network without you realising).

HOWEVER - If you accidentally enter a wrong digit, there's no way to delete it! The back key does nothing and you can't overwrite digits.
