Silly question, but have you asked Orange 150 to activate MMS and send you a Simm update? You need to do this as MMS is not automatically activated.

It took me a day to twig this.

Had to ring Orange after loads of failures only to be told that it hadn't be activated on my account....

Anyway after that I then discover that you can't send MMS cross Network. So whats the fookin point of having MMS.

Might as well just send SMS and forget about MMS..

ps... This isn't just an Orange issue as Vodafone can't send cross network either. All I get from my friend is a message with a link to vodafone website. Even then you have to enter your phone number once you get there to collect it.

So my whole point here is that its cheaper to copy images on to my own website and sms the url to my mates. Infact 32p a message less.

I still had a problem sending MMS after I received my sim update. The message would not send and was moved to drafts folder.

Thanks to a couple of calls and a helpful Alison from 156 SPV backup team we managed to locate the problem.

Sim update had provided all the MMS settings except for the username and password for MMS.

To remedy this go into programs>settings>data connections. Then click menu>edit connections. Scroll to 4. GPRS connections>2.Orange MMS.

If username and password are blank enter:

Username: Orange

Password: Multimedia

Then Reboot your phone (switch off and then back on).

MMS should now work.

There are some problems with all ther networks MMS and GPRS systems because they have all made MMS free for the next couple of months.

Just like WAP crashes after the footie on Saturday afternoons, it looks like baby MMS can't handle solids yet.

I think this may be true.

I was experiencing a few problems yesterday afternoon with sending MMS along with a couple of mates.

However i triedresending them later on and they went through just fine.

Keep on trying.

Happy Eid
