Guest eibsen Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Hi, I was just wondering if it is possible to make software tweak that allowed the ring-tone to be heard BOTH through the headphone and the speaker simultaneously? I often use the headphones on the SPV while driving, but I'll be damned if I sit for ½ hour with the earplugs in, just waiting for somebody to disturb me ;) And since it's downright impossible to disintangle the cords for the headphones, plugging in the headphone, and answering the phone in less than 30 seconds while doing 110 km/hour on the highway, I was thinking it would be smart to plug in the headphones, leaving the plugs out of my ears, but still making it possible for me to hear when the phone rings. In that case I might be able to just plug in the earplugs while still ensuring public safety on the highways :) Thank you in advance. - Erik

Guest eibsen Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 In the words of madukrainian: Well spotted ;) But unfortunately it is not a workable solution, since it requires for me to type in "Normal" in the registry editor each time I plug in the headphones. So unless somebody can make me a small piece of software that performs that act (HINT HINT; PLEASE PLEASE ) - it wont solve it in the long run.... - Erik Did Midnight post a solution for this in a previous post or was it about something else? Guest midnight Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 yeh, the solution i gave was kind of a temporary solution to the 'stuck in headset' profile bug, but still, if an app can intercapt the fact that a headset has been plugged in, then why not, all it has to do is change the reg and it will work (like i said tho, the volume is still low, even if it does actually work)
