Guest Will Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Just recieved a text from '194' with the following: Hello from Orange. We are pleased to annouce that you can now send photo messages to any major UK network from your Orange phone. Now to test!! Will
Guest James Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 did not work today for me! Transfer failed!
Guest James Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 one other thing, i did not get that text? are you subscribed to receive that sort of thing?
Guest ClintEastman Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I got it and i don't even think i have MMS's enabled on my account.
Guest gradiation Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 i got it, but i haven't brought my camera to test it, in fact i don't think i know anyone on a different network with a MMS capable fone ;)
Guest superkingdave Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 got that message but mms have never worked from my phone, never could be bothered to get it sorted because it doesnt really appeal to me
Guest Brody Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I have mms enabled, it works from Orange to Orange but only have a mate on Vodafone with a compatible mms phone and it still didn't work after i received the text from Orange this morning. I remember when they announced the cross-network compatibility deals but had problems implementing Vodafone link so looks like the problems are still there despite the text message!!
Guest Fonefanatik Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 :) Didn't work for me either...sent an MMS to my mate's ugly new 3650 on T-Mobile and he didn't get it.......Damn,all these photos and nobody to send em to! ;)
Guest NickB&SPV Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Having the same problem with Vodafone. Keep getting the message "Transfer Failed". Wish they would get it sorted. Not Happy. :x
Guest Simon Desser Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 I might be wrong, but I think if it says "Transfer Failed" then the problem is with your MMS set up, not your friends on another network. If the message goes from your phone ok, and the other person can't receive it, they get a text message telling them they have been sent an MMS and they can view it on the internet
Guest James Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 i have slways got 'Transfer Failed' when mms is sent from vodafone. but orange is ok
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 I don't know not reading other posts first Will? Reported first here Let you off :;): ;) :) :D
Guest Ras Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Just to add my 2pence worth...got text and it doesn't work to Voda for me either!!! Think O will get a call from me tonight ;)
Guest Rob.P Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Anyone know if they can send MMS to the 3 network? My mate has just got a 3 phone (the NEC one) and I just tried to send him a MMS, but it didn't seem to work, just trying to find out if it is compatibility problem or whether he has to do something to the settings on his phone.
Guest evilminky Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 did i hear somewhere that u can send photos on mms aslong as thier of a small file size? i.e dont use the higher resolutions when taking a photo?
Guest Brody Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 mms to vodaphone works when message is under 30k but i still can't receive them, i still get "transfer failed". I have NEVER edited my MMS settings so can it really be that?
