Guest funkmaster Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I've been thinking about how i can talk on the spv whilst driving.. when I'm driving and got it on max volume speakerphone, and i cant hear the person on the other end.. However they can hear me, so I was thinking would it be possible to attach a speaker (normal jack) to the headphone slot and fit an old speaker (battery run) to the car.. Would this work ?
Guest skimask Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 Or you could buy a cassette adaptor for your phone from maplins for about a tenner and use your car speakers ;)
Guest fixit Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 That's true - this question has come up several times before. However, no self respecting 'early adopter' (a high proportion of SPV owners on this site methinks) would be seen dead with a cassette player in their cars. My Sony CD tuner has a special telephone connector which when wired in correctly will apparently mute the music and play my phone call to me. What we need is for some bright spark to splice something together. You could flog them on EBAY, in fact for the right price someone could make a killing here given that manufacturers carkits tend to be 100 quid plus. Anyone willing to take up the challenge?
