Guest madu Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 I remember seeing 2 poly's somewhere around. I think it was Nokia poly made into WAV. The 2 ringtones were Hummingbird and Electric Eel - very well sounding tones. Is there a place to go looking for similar? And that would mean for free to start with... And ultimately working on SPV - which I think standard poly's do not... right?? (that's why these were converted from nokia poly's to a WAV). PS: Do check the ringtones - very impressive indeed even if you won't like the actual music - top quality sound! I will try and post 'em unless someone knows the link (one of the topics...) PS: Oooops I mentioned that N-word... I can see midnight coming..
Guest James Posted April 28, 2003 Report Posted April 28, 2003 they need to be wav files mate try www.coolsmartphone.com
Guest fraser Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 And as they are wav files, there is zero point in converting a midi/poly into it, unless you can't get that sound anywhere else. Why use a crappy midi representation of a song, when you can just take a snippet from the original song instead? The only benefit of midi is the smaller file sizes, but that's not relevant if you are converting to wav anyway. It's a great thing. I laugh at the adverts like "download ringtones from Vodafone Live!!!" Woopie do. We can use any of the thousands of wav files on the net, or make your own, all for absolutely no cost. No contest really.
Guest Machineman Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Yep no need to get N.... sounds if you can make your own downloads from any cd or wav on the net I just use F1 sounds got it from the net and I'm busy to make a theme around it. Got it working on my device I only have to create a *.hme file. So if some one can help me with that... I can post it here on ther forum.
