Orange upgrade fees!!!!

Oh my god! They want to charge me 200 pounds for an upgrade!!!!!!!!! Apprently they have changed their upgrade fees. God dam'ed robbing gits...

The SPV is free, but if your in your 'first 12months' you have to pay an upgrade fee. 0-7months = 200squid. 7-whatever months = 125squid. etc etc.

But what's the "upgrade" fee, ie to go from crappy old orange phone to swanky SPV?

I know we can buy retail for free, but i just spoke to Orange 150 and they still say £69 for existing orange user of 5 yrs! ;)

sorry, have they actually changed their policy. previously there have been no upgrade fees after 12 months. is this still the case?

my contract is up in three days and if they have just changed their policy, just to annoy me, i will probably cry. :cry:

ps. is the orange handset really £0.00 upgrade and new contract in the orange stores? CWH and the link say its 150ish!? :?

SVP on new contract is definitely priced as "from free", but i'd like to know about upgrade! sigh, why does orange keep moving the goalposts...

Just give us the damn things for free orange, we're the only bloody customers you've got! (ok, 55,000 others, but still)

on an aside, i saw a guy with an spv this morning, recognised by it's sultry lines. Wanted to give him thumbs up, but he'd have had no idea what i was on. You don't see many spvs do ya?

So, who's gonna upgrade me for free, or give me a tanager cheap?

I have been with orange for years, but swaped my phone in september, effectively begining a new contract. I managed to get my SPV two weeks ago with NO upgrade fee, just 69.99 for the handset. No new contract.

UPGRADE FEE'S are based on spending not length of service = AMS of £70 i think will entitle to have no upg fee after 12 months think over £100 then can upgrade within 12 months if your bills are barely or just £25-40 then sure they want the money!!! orange by doing this are offering upgrades early for people who are worth more to them by allowing upgrade sometimes within 6 months.

ive just phoned up, my upgrade fee is 100quid and I upgraded to my spv just last november. Its a shame that the gd87 is 200 quid on upgrade! Its only 270quid on payg and that includes £56 credit!!!

Met a guy i knew from school when i was home last week for my birthday. He was really happy with his "out of the box SPV" until i showed him: Gnuboy, Task Manager, PocketMVP, Smart Explorer, and all the reg hacks etc that made my phone about 10,000 times more useful than his. (maybe a bit of an exageration, but everyone was cussing his phone till i whopped mine out) Not to mention he's paying 10p a text on Orange and not less than half that on Planus ;) . All the girls also wondered if i had more than one phone as i kept changing the home screen..... THANK YOU MoDaCo! (Now branded as a phone ubergeek by all my mates)

Back OT - Never upgraded before, but last time i looked into it, was told it would be free after 7 months as i had spent so much. (About £1000) Don't know if things have changed?
