Hi there,

I have been trying and trying and trying to get my SPV to work on O2 Via GPRS WAP.

It is just not happening, when ever i try to use wap it returns an error message of "Cannot place call"

I dont know if i am going in the right place? i am going in to Internet Explorer and typing in my WAP address in the address bar. But i think that it is trying to Dial in to the O2 Mobile Web, which i cant do because im on Pay as you go.

If anyone can help me i really would be grateful.

Many Thanks

Jas

Did you create a proxy connection ? Try the settings below

O2 PAYG WAP

Create proxy

Description : O2 WAP proxy

The Internet, WAP Network, 193.113.200.195, WAP

Create GPRS connection (WAP over GPRS)

Description: O2 WAP

The Internet, payandgo.o2.co.uk, payandgo, password

Create Dial Up connection (WAP over GSM)

Description: O2 CSD WAP

The Internet, 44, 7712, 927927, o2wap, password

In data connection make

Internet conenction=O2 CSD WAP (requires GSM data connection for access to non WAP internet sites)

WAP connection = O2 CSD WAP (or O2 WAP for GPRS WAP)

It should work.

Make sure that you have no other proxy settings that point to WAP Network. This could cause conflict. Also check proxy settings are correct.

In IE options - activate auto detect.

Access both WAP and non WAP sites

Try and connect to http://wap.o2.co.uk (WML) and http://www.modaco.com/mobile (HTML)

Can you connect to any of them ?

What errors are you getting ?

Do you have a good signal ?
