Funny how that post on SmartPhony points back to Modaco as the source of the Info...

Starting to sound like Network news, aren't we? Quoting each other and such.

Has anyone tried this and got it to work? I've installed it on my SPV and any Zip files now show up with a little yellow logo, but I can't get it to actually do anything :)

Any help would be appreciated.

I left my sync cradle at the office... again. Haven't had a chance to install it. :)

I must be a masochist.

so when you download stuff that is zipped on a website you can unzip it on your phone, ringtones, documents etc. an unzip tool for me is invaluable, most attachments in emails are zipped. of course, to get the best out of zipped mail we also need a word and excel viewer

if it does not show zipped files, reboot.. then it all works..

Now if only it unzipps!

So it's a utility to show zip icons, yeah?

No point in that? :?

I did think the whole point of a zip util was to zip-up & unzip stuff :)

Would be good tho, small/more files on SD card ;)

As stated, I made this early release just to show that I'm working on it !

It DOES NOT unzip files at all for the moment, just shows the content. I also made a modification to be able to handle zip files directly through Internet explorer and launch samrtzip directly...

It should start unzipping by the end of the week...

Stay tuned

I think it would be great for when you want to put loads of small files on the phone. Im sure we all know that it takes much longer to put 100,0000 small files on a device than just 1. That could make for a decent portable storage medium. also, assuming in the final version you can extract just one file from the zip, i have 600 Nes ROMS taking up all my SD Card that im willing to extract when needed. It does support all the PC ZIP standards doesn't it?

Now THAT is an excellent idea! Can't wait for the working release!

Good work, and thanks in advance, Zizione.

Au fait, Zizione, ton surnom veut bien dire ce que je pense?
