Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 It wasn't "Smartclear.exe" (or similar) was it? Sounds like you'll have to do a hard reset. See this post for instructions: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...p?p=97945#97945 You can then decertify using this website: www.developers.orange.com and clicking "Working with Orange > Un/locking your SmartPhone"
Guest trudyb Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Hi Thanks for reply. I have tried what you suggested, but nothing has happened, only stuck on the three canary colours..
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 You turned the phone off after hard resetting and you're only getting the Canary screen?
Guest midnight Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 quick instructions time methinks :).... power off phone power on phone while holding in the record button DO NOT let go of record button, until it comes up with a screen that says 'press any key to enter bootloader' (or something like that) now press and hold the action button (button in the center of the cursor controls) DO NOT let go of this button until the canary blue menu screen appears at the bottom (option number 8) it says Erase IPSM, press down on cursor keys and select this option with the action button after a while some text will appear, and eventually it will say 'complete' (or something similar) now simply hold the power button in to reset and the phone will reboot note: this reboot seems to take forever, but it will happen (fingers crossed) ;)
Guest trudyb Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Thankyou thankyou thankyou... I was holding down both record and action button (stated in Hard reset)at the same time.Rather then record first and then action second.. many thanks Trudyb
