Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Tried removing them after a reboot?
Guest midnight Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 try deleting it using your pc through activesync, that should do it
Guest midnight Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 oh, unless you are trying that way, hehe, yeh, reboot phone, if that fails, reboot pc aswell, oh the good ol' reboots chances are the file may be in use by the phone and thats why it doesnt delete, so a rebbot of the phone usually fixes things.
Guest Will Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 if you are still stuck, pm me and i'll write something to sort it! Will
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 if you are still stuck, pm me and i'll write something to sort it! Don't you just love it when someone says something like that some people still amaze me :) Also make sure you have not assigned the file to anything, then as mono and midnight said reboot ;)
Guest madu Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 PS: Some files can not be deleted using SmartExplorer/DATexplorer and ActiveSync... ALLexplorer usually takes care of those.. Like that voicemail.lnk in StartMenu...
Guest midnight Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 madukrainian, shouldnt affect audio files tho unless they are currently in use (ie, being played or paused by a media player either on screen or in the background)
Guest madu Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 True... I now have a file under IPSMWindows that used to be a copy of startup folder. I tried deleting it using SmartExplorer, but it wouldn't work, coz voicemail.lnk couldn't be deleted... Then I used DAT FileExp. to do the job and it crashed while deleting... I had to Quit App using TaskMan etc.. Then restarted and used SmartExp to see if the folder is there, but to my surprise there was a file in the name of the folder.. It can be renamed and is only 256bytes but cannot be deleted using SE, AllExplorer or ActiveSync. DAT FileExplorer deletes it, but when I check in SE agin, the file remains... It is not set to be read-only/system/hidden, but there we go. I am not happy with DAT now...
