PocketDivx on a Tanager???

I can't get any version of Pocket Divx to play files on a Tanager. Eveything works fine on an SPV, but on a Tanager I just get a blank screen with Alpha04, and a small still picture that won't move with the new 8R Beta1? It's doing my head in, can anyone help? ;)

By the way, I've succeeded with both versions on a Tanager by putting the first SPV ROM from November on the phone, but this isn't to be advised cos the joystick doesn't work  Then, applying the major UK update makes the joystick work, but then Pocket MVP won't :?:

Does PocketTV runs on the Tanager ? (we have never tested that)

I've not tried it yet, I'll give it a whirl later, I was going to sit down and wade through 20 pages of posts about it, before trying it. It sounds great :!:

Paul says he uses PocketTV on his Tanager so I guess it should be ok?

Yeah, Pocket TV appears to run fine on the Tanager.

Not tried either on the Compal yet?

Ok, thanks.

Yes, we developed it using a Compal Red-e (the development device). We have not tested it on SPV, but apparently a hundred people have done that and it works well.

Do you have the problem with the spinning wheel (wait cursor) appearing on the video (in fact on the display, whether there is video or not) every minute ? Or is it just a Red-e bug ?

this is an SPV thing, and happens at various intervals when the system is doing some processing in the background whether you are in an app or not

I wish it could be disabled, but as yet, no-one has managed it

I think it is not just an SPV thing, since we see that on the Red-e smartphone, too.

Most likely it is something in the Smartphone Platform (i.e. it is a MS bug).

The thing that I don't understand is, why an app that does something in the background would show the wait cursor ? This is deffinitely a bug. Apps that do not show a window on the display should not show the wait cursor.

i dont get it all te time, if thats what you are talking about, in fact, very rarely (except for opening apps etc), but normal use it never rears its ugly head. It depends on the app/game tho, some do, some dont
