Guest elstob Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Sorry if this has been posted before. However I was wondering what the capital letter 'G' in a white box at the top of the screen meant? I can't find reference to it in the user manual.
Guest elstob Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 hang on it means GPRS avaliable. What does THAT mean? Im not connected am I? My user giude is different to the PDF one on oranges site. :?
Guest Palindrome Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 It means that you have GPRS available to you in the area that you are in. Whether you are using GPRS is indicated by a G were the signal reception strength indicator is (top left of the screen). If you go outside an area of GPRS reception the G in the white box will disapear.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 The manual is a little random and lacking at times. The large G means you are connected to a network with GPRS enabled and that you are in range to use it. If you dial in and connect to GPRS the "Y" shaped mask signal by your strength meter will change to a small "G"G
