Guest madu Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Please help... I want my clock/date to be in the bottom right corner and my appointment in the bottom left... See my lame effort with MS PhotoEditor for desired result... And the original.. [Please ignore the scrollbar on the right - was being brought up when clicking * (dunno y)] But even using ie: y="+10" offsets, not possible since calendar plugin starts and whatever goes off the height of date/time plugin is lost... Is it at all possible to do what I'm after??desired_ss001.jpgss001.jpg
Guest madu Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Oh... And my code o'course: <?xml version="1.0"?> Cel(EDITED) http://spv.mailsigs.com TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm TimewiseAlarm 1.0 Missed calls : Missed calls : bgcolor="transparent" halign="center" valign = "center" l-border-width="0" t-border-width="0" r-border-width="0" b-border-width="0" l-border-color="transparent" t-border-color="transparent" r-border-color="transparent" b-border-color="#3182ce" /> fgcolor="#FFFFFF" bgcolor="transparent" padding-left="4" padding-right="10" padding-top="5" padding-bottom="5" font-face="nina" font-size="14" font-style="normal" font-weight="500" x="120" y="5" w="22" h="22" halign="left" valign="center" /> fgcolor="#FFFFFF" bgcolor="transparent" bgtext="#2A2CC5" padding-left="4" padding-right="10" padding-top="5" padding-bottom="5" font-face="nina" font-size="14" font-style="normal" font-weight="700" x="30" y="5" w="22" h="22" halign="left" valign="center" /> Alarm:
Guest Richie M Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I'm afraid not Madu. ;) You can only have one plug-in on a line, sorry.
Guest madu Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Pictures? Still there... Damn!! My plan to take over the world and have a sweet homescreen while doing that has now collapsed.. Will have to think of improved strategies applying the power of XML!! I'm utterly disappointed......
Guest Brody Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Your second picture seems to show the time one line above the appointments plugin so this would be possible would it not??
Guest blackout Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 maduk, i tried your plan to take over the world about 3 weeks ago. i wanted to combine the messaging plugin (unread SMs/email) with the missed call counter. on one line. i couldn't do it on my own, so i talked to EVERYONE inside msft (i work for club smartphone) and they told me the same thing, only one plugin per line. but if you're a super-smart programmer dude, there is hope, you can write your OWN plugin with whatever data you want on one line, install that and make it's output part of your XML eL
Guest madu Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Hmmmm... In such case my plan is doomed! Not being either super-smart nor programmer I am now planning a new way of taking over... Will post pics as soon as my broadband @ home (where the cradle is) is fixed... PS: How super-smart do you need to be to code a plugin??
Guest EMGenius Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 I have been trying to do the same thing Madu!!? Is there any way that yoou can use tables in XML? (I dont have m uch of a clue when it comes to XML and am learning it as i go). failing this is there no way that you can make a clug in 'hover' above another plug-in (like absolute positioning in HTML - think this is what you call it?)? also is there a list of all of the available plug-ins anywhere? MS and non-MS? Failing this is there any kind of idiots guide anywhere on how plug-ins work and therefore how to code them?
Guest madu Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 There is no proper guide re this, but on MSDN website (sorry, no link but search it will come up).. Most information I found was in Chris B guide in Articles section detailing (all?) plugins and how they work... http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=714
Guest Richie M Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Guys, as i said earlier there is no way to have two plug-ins on the same line ;) And you cannot do anything flashy in the xml either :) its just a basic format document (like an ini or inf) that tells home.exe where to display things.
