Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Nothing. Not supported in SmartPhone 2002 without 3rd party drivers unfortunately.
Guest meaks Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Will it be supported in Smartphone 2003?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I'm pretty sure, yes. You'd have to ask an MS bloke or MVP for confirmation...
Guest beverage Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 does that mean with third party drivers you can have bluetooth? without anything else? if so where where where! cheers
Guest McHale Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 I thought I read on here sometime back that someone *WAS* using Bluetooth headphones with it. The subject heading was something like "IT WORKS." I'm so confused... -Mc
Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Pity. USB/Bluetooth "dongles" have dropped in price like stones since Xmas. I sympathised back then with a customer who'd just paid £80 for one (when you cound get one for £45) Now they're down to £17 - 20 if you shop around. Makes Bluetooth seriously worth considering even if you're not well-heeled.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 McHale: It's the Jabra headset which has a transmitter which plugs into the hands free jack and transmits to the headset, not nescacarily over bluetooth (from what i read on their site). It's a nasty way to do it imho because the transmitter isn't especially small, but it does remove the need for wires. It's also only good for voice data as well. Jabra also make a "proper" BT headset, which is just the headset with no extra transmitter.
