Guest atai Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 I know that this has been fixed with a program by Paul[MVP], but I do not have access to Activesync features (no PC atm), and was wondering if there was a manual way of getting the phone to recognise the name in the SMS inbox? At the moment, it just shows the +44 number... thanks Atai
Guest Bazz Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Manually change your numbers on your phone to the international version (+447XXXXXXXXX). Paul's program simply changes this in Outlook and next time you sync they are copied to your phone. It's just a nicer and quicker than going through your numbers and changing them manually one by one - it doesn't do anything special (no offence Paul ;-) ) Note this will not change messages you have already received - only new messages. Even Paul's method will not help with received messages. AFAIK it is not possible to change messages you have already received.
Guest madu Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Ah, but you need to make some changes in PC regedit to make it stay that way... and work properly. It will add a SPACE between +44 and the number making it unrecognisable again... Solution in Articles (methink)
