Guest cvdbl Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Greetings, I have tried to use standard Plantronics headset with the SPV for a while. In order to connect the Plantronics headset (regular 3-conductor 2.5 mm plug) to the SPV, I used a 4-conductor to 3-conductor 2.5mm adapter. I tried both the Pc-Mobile - PX25HA and the Pocket PC Techs - PPCPADPT03. I tried 3 flavors of Plantronic headsets: M135, M170 & M140. I also tried a Jabra EarWrap. In all permutations of adapters and headsets, I can hear fine, but people complain that they cannot hear me as if the headset's microphone was inactive (if I then move teh SPV's built-in mike to my mouth, they hear me well). Interestingly enough, the headset supplied with the SPV works perfectly. Problem is ergonomy there! Has anyone experienced the same issues? Anyone can think of what the problem is? I doubt the adapter is faulty: I tried a total of 3 of them. The headsets work fine on standard phone. Then the SPV's jack should be fine as it works with the supplied headset..... :?
Guest MECX Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 some sort of resistance problem maybe?? what ive done is cut the headphones off the SPV standard headset and put an adptor for normal head phones on the end. it was a bit of a pain but is good coz i can use any headphones for my hands free/music--i hate the in ear ones. here are some pics anyway to show you what i mean. ;)New Picture6.jpgNew Picture5.jpg
