spv newbie please help

hey guys, i really need some help. i bought an SVP offline off a freind and inserted my old orange PAYG simcard. i cant seem to go into: calender, compose message, sim manager, and many other things. also when i try and type a number, i hear the tones but i see no numbers.

ALSO.. lol

when i try to save something it says error settings could not be saved.

i've tried hard resetting with no avail.

please help

mmm, would suggest a full reflash m8(find someone with a backup ROM image), a couple of those could be caused by having fixed dialling on on the SIM but the others :shock: ! Do you have compose messsage available with SIM in another handset?

First of all was the phone working properly before?

Another thing is to try running the latest update.

This should not cause the problem but...

also how old is your SIM? is was discussed a while ago about older sim cards

not being compatable, not a definate solution but worth looking into :?
