Guest jimbou Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 read e-mail attachments. CAN Freeze alot. Andy ??????????????? What do you mean??????????????
Guest madu Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Well, first of all I don't think P would be happy bout this post... So it is most likely to be locked v. soon ;) Second: It CAN read attachments.. You need to mark an email for Download first, then send/receive again. A link to the file should appear bottom of the email. Alternatively, goto IPSMMAPIAttachments to find your attachment in 5874....65825.xxx format, rename it and copy where you need it. Voila! NOTE that not every file can be launched by 'clicking' on it in Inbox email or in Explorer. Third: It does activesync with WIN98SE. Fourth: I have no problem with it freezing. Have you got all the updates and exit apps after using them? Do you use Task Manager?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I'd agree with Madu, you can read attachments (and read word docs etc. using Westtek viewers soon to be launched), it syncs fine with Win98SE, and mine doesn't crash! I won't lock the post, but you should probably present accurate information! ;) P PS What do you mean by 'arrange a replacement'?
Guest NickB&SPV Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I had a few problems with activesync & Win98 but posts on this site sorted it. E-mail attachments now sorted after reading the reply above. ;)
Guest Raify Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Agree with all the above, but it still can't: Record voice calls Use voice dialling last longer than 2/3 days Update doesn't work with Win98SE / ME (unless you try a fix that i'm sure Orange wouldn't approve of)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 One and two are limitations of the phone. A shame maybe, but no great loss imho ;) Battery life is my biggest complaint, but i charge it every night so again, no huge problem. Update is the fault of Orange unfortunately....
