Guest atai Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Hi again, search the forum for this, but couldnt find anything relevant: Is it possible to save jpgs from the web or even email attachments and use them as backdrops? Browsed through coolsmartphone.com the other day, but couldn't set any of the pics as a backdrop. I dont have access to a PC/activesync either, so it's gotta be done on the phone.. thanks
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 You could clear your Internet cache (in IE, Menu > Options > Memory > Clear), broswe to the page, the go to WindowsTemporary Internet Files and see if you can find it there. Then copy it to IPSMApplication dataHome.
Guest atai Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 No no, I meant can you save the jpgs into the /Home dir straight from the phone? Can't find a way to do this from PocketIE or the email program.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 That was my point sorry. No, there is no way to save images to other areas of the phone. The above post is a workaround i've used in the past to move images from the internet to another folder without using a PC.
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 .jpg's (and other attachements) received by email will be saved with the .att extension in IPSMMAPIATTACHMENTS. You can rename them (that is change the extension) to xxxx.jpg via SmartExplorer and then move them (copy and paste) to your storage card or wherever. ;)
Guest fozzie Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 No need for renaming. Just open the attachment from the email and a copy of it will be found in IPSMApplication DataVolatile. Just copy it from there to wherever you want - no messing around with guessing which attachment is which and renaming ;)
