Guest tmarkland Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 One of the main annoyances of the spv in my opinion is the slowness of the picture on the screen which camera displays before you take a photo. From what people say on other threads this due to the camera's inteface rather than the speed of the spv itself. Anway, I was wondering if it would be theoretically possible for someone to make a program which lowers the resolution of the image the camera gives you as a viewfinder but still gives you a high res photo when you press the take picture button. I am sure this is probably technically very difficult and maybe impossible I just thought it would be useful if anyone knew a way they could write a program to do this.
Guest Machineman Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 That would be almost impossible becouse of the way the cam works (hardware). I think it has the same problem as some webcams (cheap ones) those are also slow with the refresh rate of the cam. So I think that it has nothing to do with the software but with the Limits of the hardware.
Guest tmarkland Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Thanks for the reply. I figured it was unlikely this idea would work.
