I saw that other topic with irc - but i think it kinda broke .. i tested IRC with MBodens telnet, and i got connected. I have a result from my desktop (i couldn't access Telnet with SmartSS on!)

I ain't a c++ programmer, so i can't make some app for it to connect automatically. - Just if anyone is in "project-idea-needing" ;) ^^

If anyone needs to know how to connect .. i can show an example on connecting:

First you connect to irc:

e.g irc.quakenet.org

with port 6667

After this you would be connected - do this:

USER somename localhost localhost :Firstname Lastname

Then type:

NICK yournickname

Then it should write

PING :

After this, you need to apply, by doing this:

PONG :

Then you are connected :)

As some commands you can write

privmsg #channame text

to write a message to a channel when not joined (or remove the # and write a username to write a message to a specified user)

Join :#channame

to join a channel

Hope there's some useful information here :D

(Here's a preview from my desktop:)

There was one in development, never went anywhere though. If you'd like to take the project on though i'm sure there would be a lot of happy users ;)
