Guest growe Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 #1 What should I be able to do with the button on the headset: 1) Answer an incoming call 2) Hang up an incoming call 3) Hang up an outbound call Either I'm not pressing the button properly sometimes to hang up a call or something isn't as I'd expect. #2 Second question, when I have the headset plugged in does the phone ring normally or only through the headset? I tend to drive with the phone connected to the headset but not with the headset in my ears. When the phone rings I pop in the ear piece and answer the phone. Only it seems that I'm missing calls. So either the stereo in the car is so loud I can't hear the phone or I'm suspecting that the phone is only ringing on the headset. Can some one confirm? Is there any way of making the phone ring normally even when the headset is plugged in? Thanks, Graham
Guest ben1598 Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 My phone rings both through the headset and phone, it does seem quieter through the phone though The button on the headset will answer incoming calls but does not seem to terminate an outbound or incoming call Hope this answers your question.
Guest growe Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 Thanks for the response, I reached the same conclusion when a mate complained that I'd left a two minute voicemail for him. This seems very poor. What's the point of having a hands free headset which allows you to answer calls but then you have to go fumbling around in your pocket to be able to terminate the call? Given that the SPV is foremost a phone it seems a strange feature not to have considered. Anyone know if this is a limitation of the headset, handset or Smartphone 2002? Graham
