I think you have to hard-reset and try again m8 :D

The Orange unlock is done OTA (Over The Air) so your ISP has nothing to with it, you just need GPRS ;)

If you have GPRS, i'd recommend you to hard-reset again and then use Oranges method :)

Listen to Richie M!!

I had exactly the same problem when I first decerted with the auto app, and a hard reset was the only solution.

Like the man says, use the OTA method from Orange - be patient with it, and it should work.

Hi...sorry to be a dumb blonde....but what if you don't have GPRS??? I just got an E100 and I no longer have a GPRS connection anymore...and I think that's why I can't decertify...is their any way around it?

I've got this v2decerter but I don't know how to use it...didn't come with any instructions.

I tried using a pass through connection with my E100 but that it still doesn't work.

If you don't have GPRS (like me) then you should be able to use

pass through option and connect to the internet via your PC

It does work so there must be a setup problem, try looking in Activesync

Under ToolsOptionsRules and make sure passthrough is checked.

Also make sure pass through is enabled on the phone as well.

Pass Through Connection does work...just not for app decertification.

In order for Orange to decertify your phone you must have used the GPRS at least once so that it registers with their computers....but I haven't...I thought I could get around this by using a pass through connection, which works fine....but just not for this.

The phone I used pass through on to decert has never been connected to GPRS,

Have a look on the decert sticky at the top of this section, page one is all you need to know :)

I've done it and it does work.

From what I read on the first page, it seems like you do need to access the internet using GPRS. Theirs no mention of anyone using a Pass Through Connection...and go it to work.

I rang Orange and they said they will put me on a Pay as you go GPRS package (since I only need it just this one time) and they said I'd get a SIM Update...but I've still yet to receive one.

Anymore ideas?

Chloe.

Honestly chloe, you don't GPRS but you do need an internet connection (be it GPRS or pass through) and you you must have your IMEI registered in the database. If you have a working Orange GPRS internet connection then all the requirements are already met, so this will be the preferred method.

Here's a link that will help.

http://www.developers.orange.com/forums/sh...php?threadid=65

Do you have an Orange SIM (is it contract or PAYG) ?

I would have thought that GPRS was enabled already.

And how do I register my IMEI in the database??? I don't have a working GPRS connection.

The link just tells me the same things that are on this site.

I've got an Orange Contract SIM. I do not pay for GPRS anymore since it's reception is terrible where I am.

So the question is how do I get the Action Registering program to work!!!???

Once you have setup the pass through for the internet connection and you can successfully access internet sites on the SPV, fill in the details for the unlock SPV process and click OK. You will probably get an error "Sorry, but we cannot find the IMEI and mobile phone number you have entered on our database". Click OK again - two consecutive errors should automatically load another page where the registry application instructions and download can be found. Goto section2

I've never had to do this myself, so Good luck

What are you on about? When I go to the Orange Developers site I enter my details like phone number, name and IMEI number and it says that my SPV will be de-certified in approximately 5 minutes...but it never happens. I don't get any errors. What registry application instructions are you talking about? and can you send them to me? I've already got the Action Register program...but that doesn't work for me.

It sounds like Orange’s system is either down or being particularly slow. Most of the time it does only take 5 mins, sometimes you need to wait overnight, other times it doesn’t work at all.

You don’t need to use Action Register; this program just adds your IMEI to their database, your number is obviously registered because the website has accepted your decert request.

Best bet is to wait a while; probably get bored; re-certify your phone through their website and then try the decert again.

Be patient, you’ve done all the right bits, it’s just their system being slooooooow. :)

I've been waiting since Wednesday....long enough?

I've also tried the decert web-site already.

Right, if it doesn't choke on your IMEI, and says it is going to be decertified it means your phone is registered on their db. But to complete the process you will need some internet connectivety on this phone.

As you don't have GPRS (unless you kept the PAYG?) you will ~have~ to use passthrough. Make sure this is working by loading a webpage, connected through the cradle. Then leave that IE page open on your phone and go through the decert process on the Orange dev website. The IE page on your phone should change within a few minutes to the success message.

I did this yesterday, as did Paul...

Thank You! This is the answer I've been looking for and it works! Funny how other people didn't seem to get it across that you had to leave IE open on a web-site whilst you're doing the Unlock from the Orange web-site on your PC.

Other people may of got it....maybe it's just me being ditzy again.

Thanks to all those who did and tried to help.
