help a newbie yet again

hello all. as my birthday is in three days (17) i will soon be the proud owner of a spv with a orange pay as you go sim card in it. i have been serching through this forum and found out some very interesting things already but i was just wondering what the essential first few things i should do. what i mean is should i do the unlocking of unsighned cirtificates get the orange update???? also is it eays to put a background picture on the spv.

You can unlock via Orange over the air at www.developers.orange.com

See the sticky in Development forum for further details.

Homescreens are easy to install, download the .hme, browse to IPSMWindowsStart Menu and copy it there, then run it like a normal app.

Once you've skinned and unlocked it go to my stie and download some freeware for it ;)

Two must have apps you need once the phone is de-certed,

is Task Manager and Smart Explorer anything else is a bonus :)
