Hi,

could anybody tell me how to resise (shrink) .wav files?

when I convert mp3 to wav using cd-ex the file size is huge (40sec. of music = 7 mb).

I can't use these large files as ringtones..

Thanx,

M

mp3 is actually a compression codec, its entire point being to decrease audio file size, so by converting to .wav is actually reverse engineering ;)

You don't need more than about 30 seconds and 16khz/8bit/mono encoding, this should make your files ~.5meg...

Is there anyway of stopping the answerphone from angaging and stopping the ringtone? Or is it possible to have a longer ringtone and delay the answerphone?

Kris

For MP3 to WAVE conversion you could use winamp with a plugin that rips the mp3 to wave

Or use cool edit pro 2 to open mp3 and save as wave.

Cd-quality sound= 16-bit, 44.1kHz stereo audio. File size is too high for SPV!

FOR SPV use - Mono, 22.05kHz samp rate, 16-bit sound.

Good Luck
