I didn't watch it: Instead I wrote a poem, found the cure for cancer, and invented a star drive....

Well, ok... I was mucking around on the internet, followed by watching the fast show.

Still its an interesting question, whether the people who are REALLY brainy would waste their time watching it or not.

had to do it against my flatmates to avoid getting the mickey taken out of me. i managed to hold my own and got 130 which was the same as one of my flatmate despite the fact that on the test i got sixty two and she got sixty three. watched the fast show as well later. was disappointed by lack of fat sweaty cops action.

Well i got a rather average 96. Which is quite annoying since ive gotten 144 on a test before (probably a different scoring system or something), so i was quite hurt at being average, but what hurt more was that the dumbest person i live with got the second highest score of all our house maes, which im never gonna hear the end of. Did anyone watch the first half of the 100 greatest movie stars? There were some pretty bad ones in there!

Well, I got twice as many questions wrong this time as I did last year...

...so with only two questions wrong ;) it put me with an IQ of 136.

Worryingly, my brother managed 120 and he knows he's as dumb as a brick &*^% house

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

Hmmmmmmm...apparently 3 ppl got over 150% and didn't post their actual score??? If I got over 150 I'd have left a message, just to show off. But I didn't...got 118 !!! Not bad for a northern monkey :)

I got a worringly poor 95. Admittadly it was 3am and I'd just got back from the pub.

I scored about 11/12 in all the rounds, except for the maths questions, where I got a woringly low 2.

I don't trust this system, a lot of if isn't universal enough.

Ah well, I'm at uni, and I've got a 1st in all my projects.

The fact that the questions were all timed didn't work too well, some I got in a few seconds and some I was struggling for time on. In a normal timed exam you could spend more time on the other questions.

Having said that, everyone who took the test would have had the same problem. Luckily for you Mr_Protozoa a degree is far more likely to get you a job than your IQ, unless you wanted to work at mensa.

Incidentally, my score was 135.

I got 134...

It's intereting with IQ tests cos they all approach testing from a different way. I've hd some that I do quite poorly at but they are very language focused. At least this one did ask things from a wide range of categories.

Interestingly in my age group the maximum possible is 137 , to get over 150 they would have to be 55 years or older and have got at most 3 questions wrong, or 70+ years old and got at most 7 questions wrong...

But hey, it's just a casual survey, doesn't matter if we lie :)

IQ scores do tend to vary a great deal depending on where you take it. I got 131 this time and 127 last year but ive scored over 150 at emode.com and mensa.org.uk and a below par 98 at another site which i can't remember right now. Some sites have tests designed for the local residents. So is there a world wide standard then?

One of the things which the BBC shouldn't have included is the memory section - memory does not count as IQ - it's Intelligence Quota, not Memory Capacity!

For me my score depends on the amount of anagrams and the amount of maths. The less of the former and more of the latter the better. I've done some which had countdown conundrum style anagrams in, with another major factor - no multiple choice. Your score simply depends on the test.
