Hi people

Moving between screens and progs seems to be taking about 8 to 10 secs atm. Does it work the same as, say, an iPaq as in you have to close down progs when you are finnished with them?

i have the same problem....

now after reading another ost,i have learn't that you need to press the red hang up key when finished on the i.e program..

and there is a key press delay setting in settings/phone (i think thats where it was!!)

i have set mine to 2secs i'll see how that works and report back...,.

Will any amount of bug fixes/service packs fix this???

i mean if all my nokia's did not suffer from this @ all, then why should this phone with all its glory/technology???

does anyone else suffer fom this?????

or is it our phones that need to go back????

I've noticed a couple of tips on the forum to improve the speed of your SPV and both have made a noticeable difference on mine.

1. Go to SETTINGS > HOME SCREEN and change the "Time Out" option to "Never". You could also change it to 10 secs (has the same effect of speeding up the menus).

This option determines how long before the phone switched back to the homescreen following any keypress. I put mine to Never and the menus all seem to work much faster.

2. Go to SETTINGS > SOUNDS and change the "Keypad Control" option to "None". This switches off the click/tone when you press the keys but makes a big difference to how quickly menus respond.
