Annoying Voicemail Icon

OK, this has probably been covered at LEAST 50 time before but I'm damned if that search engine will ever work for me. Still gives me Doom topics only!

anyhow, my problem is this: Received voicemail a few days ago (Friday) and after listening too and deleting the message the icon is still on the phone. I have turned on and off several times to no avail. Is there any solution or do I have to live with it for the rest of my life?

Phone yourself, leave a message, hang up.

Listen to your message through to the end, delete and wait for the woman to stop talking.

If that doesn't work, call Orange and ask them to reset your voicemail icon.

If that doesn't work, repeat step one.

Just thought i'd add that i think that a lot of us have had this problem and that you need to wait for ages until the logo actually disapears from your phone's screen before hanging up, it took mine a minute or two but it finally worked! :wink:

Another way is to use the call back option, this also removes the icon.

Unless the number was witheld then it's back to the options above.

Thanks for the help guys but it would REALLY be useful if Orange actually made a voicemail system that worked. Never mind, at least I now know to listen to EVERYTHING that darn woman has to say. :roll:

Fraid not, it's an Orange problem it happens on the Nokia as well.

On both my 7110 and 6250.

Listening through the entirety of the Voicemail has never worked for me.

Only thing works (except phoning O CS) is phoning myself, leaving another message, and then deleting that one aswell.
