Guest Sterling_Moss Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Sorry if this one has been posted before, but I've just found this forum. My problem is that if I am on a call using the supplied 'handsfree kit' and another call comes in, it automatically swaps to the incoming call after a few seconds. Unfortunately, unless you actually know you have another call waiting, by looking down at the screen (not a good idea if driving) or hearing the very faint beep, it swaps without you realising it. This has proved to be both very annoying and potentially embarrassing. On a number of occassions I have found myself in mid-conversation talking to someone totally different. Just imagine discussing a contract with a customer when you suddenly find yourself talking to a competitor. For those cheating on their partners the consequences don't bear thinking about! I emailed Orange who suggested I phoned them to report it as a fault - brilliant! I strongly suspect it's a 'feature' or maybe there is a setting I've missed somewhere. Great phone - lots of bugs, but still a great phone. Dave PS is there any reason why a 256Mb SC card shouldn't work? - I'm about to buy one.
Guest James Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 well i an not sure about the swap problem you have but 256 meg cards work fine!
Guest IanCardiff Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 This has also happened to me whilst using the Car hands free kit. Is this a fault and if so can it be repaired or is it somesetting I have missed?
Guest detailmeister Posted May 20, 2003 Report Posted May 20, 2003 Not a fix, but I think if you change the in-call alert volume, you will get some warning that you are swapping calls. Mine by default was set at 1, it can go to 5  To change this setting; go to settings>accessibility>In-call alert volume PS: Haven't tried it as I rarely get one call, let alone 2 at once! :) Detailmeister
