Help on SPV fr. US

Just trying to set up this great new phone and need some help. I have changes the time and date to EST (US) and the date to m/d/yr and when it accepts it but then changes back on its own after I have placed it on the cradle. Also how do I decertify the phone so I can download other apps.

OK I got the time thing, still have not got the decertifying thing b/c I am not an Orange user so that site won't help me. I also please need help with getting the profile to change. It is stuck on "car" and when I try and change it nothing happens...please help as now I can't use the phone option.

Profile Thing....

Because I have to ask, I'm not knocking you in any way.....

Are you clicking on the action button to select or are you just highlighting the selection. You must select the Profile then click done.

Unlocking the phone....

The Orange Over the Air method works for me here in the US under T-Mobile.

Just follow the instructions....

When entering in your number...do not put a + sign in. Enter it this way

1 5556669999

There is a space between the 1 and the rest.

If that doesn't work...the more difficult method works for me as well.

Also, be sure to update your ROM image to 1.3.5.6

which you can find on CoolSmartphone as well. Or you may be able to use the Over The Air Orange Update which you can find by clicking on the Orange Update App on your phone and searching for new updates. It should be called Keyboard Driver or something like that. That did not work for me and there is currently no other method to get this update but the 1.3.5.6 update will get you some bug fixes and better battery life!
