Guest idavid Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 i love my SPV, and my girlfriend has run out of contract and is looking to upgrade... i noticed that a upgrade to an spv is £0.00, but that they will fetch 250 odd quid on ebay. now thingy is, do orange mind if she ddoes this? does it pose a problem if she upgrades, sells new phone, then continues to use old phone? if this is a cheeky question, i spose it will get deleted... :? PS no way i would sell mine with lovely snails though (and britney videos...) ;)
Guest dan.peterson Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Long as you stay within the contract- and the law- you can do what you want with the phone. I'd a thought. I was quite tempted to do this when they first came out and you could sell them for up to £500 and get them free on a contract for £20 a month. and do it again and again and again. Glad I didn't as would have undoubably screwed up. anyway...
Guest Gorskar Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Yes, nothing stopping you from doing that. Its your (or your girlfriends in this scenerio) phone: you can do what you want with it. You will of course have to continue your contract for another year, but solong as you carry on paying the line rental there is no problem there.
Guest idavid Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 any issues with orange care? if her nokia brakes, will they give her a new nokia or a new spv ;)
Guest mashkhan Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 if her nokia breaks, your stuffed with Orange Care. They will be expecting an Orange SPV which you won't have.
Guest idavid Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 thats what i thought. but you can buy about twenty 3310s for the price of an spv on ebay ;)
