Guest madu Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Just found on Smartphony. Dictionary of English words as it looks. Have not my cradle, so no comments for now.. Don't see any mention of this in the forum.. It's 7MB. http://www.smartphony.org/stories.php?stor...3/03/13/6457840
Guest blade6750 Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 You can download a demo from http://revolution.cx/lex/lexdownsp.htm only for unlocked phones though this is what they say "This program has not been digitally signed and will not run on an unmodified SPV. We expect to have a fully signed version available for download by March 21st. Due to the large size of the program (8 mb) a SD storage card is required for installation. "
Guest Richie M Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Ha ha, i just found this as well :) was going to post then saw this thread ;) It's a pity T9 cant link into it, now that would be usefull 8)
Guest kevlar Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 The demo is of limited use, it only shows random words. Kevlar
Guest Simon Desser Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 I like it! I think I'll buy it when it's available. (It's well handey havving a diktionnnary on you at all times for them trikkee complikated wordz :!: :))
Guest revolution.cx Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Though T9 as an entry method for this works great, makes it quick to find the word you are looking for. Guest Richie M Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Though T9 as an entry method for this works great, makes it quick to find the word you are looking for. Sorry  I meant the T9 Dictionary for when your typing a SMS :D
Guest revolution.cx Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 True. The guts of the program are the same as the Pocket PC version, including the demo functionality. I've been meaning to change how the demo works but just haven't gotten to it yet. You can still navigate around the dictionary from those random words (go to synonyms, parent words, antonyms, etc). The demo is of limited use, it only shows random words. Kevlar
Guest Vector Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 This looks like a great little app but i don't think my english teacher would like it if i pulled out my SPV in the middle of an essay :)
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 This app is very cool.... 8Meg for the full dictionary and it searches as fast as it does? This will replace dictionary.com as my main dictionary (and impress my friends in the process)
Guest revolution.cx Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 Heya - Finally got my signing certificate from da man so Lextionary is now a bonafide digitally signed app: http://revolution.cx/lex/lexdownsp.htm
Guest Lojt Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 But this is still the demo version right? Nevermind, figured it out myself
