for a phone of this complexity what would be useful if not essential

would be an application that not only tracked

gprs usage but also the

amount of call time and

number of texts sent.

all on one page !

then I wouldn't have to call 150 for minutes left

or go over my text bundle

etc etc

You can buy a GPRS counter-looks like a waste of time to me though-Orange and MS have been crap about offering free apps for the SPV

How about if someone made a program that would tell you the exact cost of your bill before you get, similar to GPRS counter where you tell it how much certain calls cost on and off peak and it works out the costs.

I was thinking the same thing. It could work out peak calls, off peak calls. sms's sent. If you had free minutes to orange then it would say how many are left. if you have off peak cross net minutes then it tells u that as well. But is the phone able to work out which network a number belongs too?

That could be a problem, specially with so many ppl taking their numbers across to other networks. Great idea though.

All Orange have to do is build this functionality into their internet site, then make it viewable on SPV. They already show you how much call time you have left. This would probably make more sense than developing an app to track what calls you are making etc.

In all honesty, I can't see why this is such an issue - unless it would could a massive usage burden to their systems. They have to work it out anyway to generate our bills.

Anyone in Mobile billing know why they can't do this?

I would just like to keep a record on incoming and outgoing calls; download them onto the PC every day and you've got a proper call log.

Has anyone got any ideas how to do this?
