Guest TDBulldog Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 We have a number of SPV handsets that we have no problems what so ever with banging into your cradle - opening up the explorer window, and accessing the likes of your sounds folder enabling you to copy new wavs etc for your ringtones... But we have one SPV that no matter what we have done, will only show you certain folders when you explore. We have tried a reset - we have even tried the upgrade, even though we were on the latest rom version. Not teaching anyone to suck eggs here but for the workable version this is how we access the folders and what MORE importantly the folders we can see: (a) Wait for phone to sync (:) Click on Explore © When window opens click on "My Smartphone" icon (d) When new window opens click on "IPSM" folder icon (e) When new window opens click on "Application data" folder icon (f) Then I am presented with the following folder icons to choose from: Action Engine Action Update Home Profiles Sounds System Volatile (g) I am then able to open another explorer window on my laptop and copy sound files/skins etc to the relevant folder and when I remove the handset from the cradle I can then assign sounds etc for ringtones/notification of e.Mail etc.... This is what we see on the faulty handset: When our xxxxx xxx xxx user syncs and he gets to point (e) clicking into the "Application data" his is missing the following folders: Action Engine Action Update Sounds Profiles Does anyone have an idea on what we can do - and YES it has been replaced. Guest Richie M Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Those folders arent written by default, they are written when you change something, ie conect to Orange Update/Backup or edit a Profile. Dont worry that they arent there, if you want to put a new ring tone on just create the Sounds Folder :)
