Handset freezes for long periods and generally unresponsive

This especially occurs when sound files are being played - eg ring tones, keyboard clicks, alerts, etc.

This is incredibly irritating - sometimes it take 30 seconds to a minute before the phone responds to key presses - you cant even asnswer a call, or even turn the phone off until it responds again!

Richto, your issue sounds like a performance problem with the flash filesystem being used by HTC. fbianchi, your #1 sounds slightly different, and I'm not sure I understand the issue with your #2.

ok, for number 2, orange france send sort of a sms to tell you you have voicemail (impossible to not get that, the only other choice is to be called back) so sometimes, the sms appears when you do something else on the phone and you don't pay attention because it disturbs you (contact name entering for example), after you press home key but.... it doesn't answer to phone calls in such case because he wait the finished butto action on this particula sms

in fact doing backspace upper right key, the sms appears, you do "finished" or ok in frecn 'terminé" and that's ok, phone can answer....

for number 1, i tried wit tec people of orange, they send "thanks, a new bug...)

just for fun, in france all people on orange support speak to you about orange express exchange or immediate going back to the shop and in the shops as on express service :

1 we don't have phone to exchange

2 we don't have the codes and the procedures anyway !!!!!!

if you say : but you are supposed to exchange in less than 48 hours, they have THIS answer : we promise you to call you back il less than 48 hours to ..... tell you when we will have some for exchange... i said i am under 10 days, i want to be sure to get a new one, answer : no pb, mister, we log your call, and me "give me my number case"

answer : call us later, our system do'nt give us a number.....

so i am quite nagry about the service....

My problem is that the phone is too slow, and frequently locks and hangs. For instance this morning I went to make an outgoing call, my phone displayed 'calling' but refused to respond in anyway. I waited 10 minutes but eventually had to remove the battery to restore 'normal' operation.

No wonder Sendo junked it.

I' ve had a similar problem when charging the SPV up.... After 15 mins of charging the Screen had completely frozen and only way I could reset was to remove the battery...

I've had a couple of freezing/super slow down problems on mine.

It seems to be sometimes when I've just powered on it'll do it (maybe if I power off then on too quickly?)

The problem is often compounded by it buffering up the key presses so it can take like 15 minutes to get through all your current key presses before you can regain control.

I've found that every time a simple power off and power back on has completely resolved it. Of course it is running a Micro$oft OS so that's not surprising.
