Guest steviep Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Anyone out there seen this prob. 64MB MMC card, phone doesn't recognise card usually, on 3 occasions on inserting the card I received a format error (error code 400, I think, but I can't get that up any more). Is my phone just snafu or is it my brain (usually the latter) Thanks Steve
Guest Richie M Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Er, sounds like a faulty card m8 :) The nearest message i ever get to that is if the card has a backup from the bootloader - but then the phone only asks if i want to format the card :?
Guest DamianJauregui Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 I have the same problem with my 128mb card. I load some movies, mp3s, etc. on to it and go home. The next morning I tried to play an mp3 and it shows my list of songs, I select one and then it says there's an error and will only show me a blank song list. I have to remove the card, wait for about 5 seconds and the reinsert the card again. You will get the Orange page up, which you cancel, and then everything works fine again. This doesn't always happen, but usually it does when you have a 30 minute tram ride by yourself. :x
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Would formatting the card via Task Manager help?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 Steve what make is the card? Just wondering if it's the dreaded Scandisk saga :?
Guest madu Posted May 10, 2003 Report Posted May 10, 2003 I had a similar problem to Damien... But then I got a replacement and formatted my SD reinstalling everything. I thought it was to do with using HexEdit for backup/restore and it might have corrupted something on the card. I only got the problem using WMP (i think) and it was solved just by reinserting the card. Seems like SD Slot faulty...

Thinking on it, I only had the problem with WMP :? My SmartFace images work great though, never a problem :) Damian.
