i was writing a message at the time but i was really weird, it had nothing to do with what i was writing. I even looked in my sent messages, outbox and others but nothing.....

Sounds class a 'Class 0' SMS (also known as a 'flash message').

These are displayed immediately without requiring the user to select 'view'.

I think Planus supports this?

yes it's a flash sms. they come up straight away and are not saved on the phone, don't worry it's not a virus.

It'll just be a mate of yours who sent it... nothing to worry about

I think I used to be able to send these on my old J70... I must have clicked the wrong setting once as I had a few of my friends complain that my SMSs were flashing up straight on their screen...
