Are unlocked phones unlocked to orange pay as you go?

and can you use a orange pay as you go sim in any unlocked spv?

i love the spv but i cant quite afford contract yet

A SIM from any network can be used in an unlocked phone.

Even if it wasn't unlocked, you could still use an Orange PAYG SIM.

You might have to get GPRS activated for the PAYG account though.

i'm using an orange payg sim and have no troubles.

haven't bothered with gprs, not what i need phone for, i'm happy with pass-through on PC.

I think any orange sim works in orange phones, but just unlock it (see Monolithix's webpage) and use any!
