Guest Antilles_Prime Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 " It is not possible to signal your phone, since your phone is the one that needs to initiate the GPRS call. However, the way the software works is if you set your "Login Automatically" setting in the imov settings, the software will login to the server whenever your phone is range of a GPRS cell tower and get any messages that was sent to you. The software will do this automatically, you do not need to manually log into GPRS. " that was a discussion I was having about JabberCE with one of their people. My question is, does the SPV just always stay 'online' on the internet when its in range of a GPRS tower, or do you have to manually connect it? and when you are online with GPRS, how does this idle state affect your data usage...?
Guest NXNM Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 As far as im away you have to kick it in yourself. Which is annoying in an ideal world id like it to Sign in whenever it has the oppertunity, this would make MSN Messanger a whole lot more useful.

Anyone know what sort of usage on my data minutes (on average with it always on) that would chew up if i had a TMobile package?
