would a wifi broadcast point card for teh spv be possible?

sorta like bluetooth cards... but... be a wifi access point, and allow all the laptops around it in an area to use it as a wifi access point? I already have a Toshiba 1955-S803 and it has a built in Wifi adapter, so, I'm already halfway there... just a thought...
