Network Denied, again!

I've had my SPV since they were first released in the UK and it has worked as good as can be expected but last week took it oversees for the first time and all the bloody thing would display was No Service and then appear eventually with Network Denied, Searching...

Great!!

I happened to be in 3 countries - Italy, Solvenia and Croatia. As much ammunition as possible before phoning the muppets at Orange would be apppreciated.

First - I assume you talked to Orange and requested Roaming to be added to your handset services before you left? If not then we stop here, if so then;

Second - Provided your phone was turned off and back on in these countries and that you were in coverage it should have worked fine. normally it will just connect automatically. At the worst you should only have to manual network select.

I have problems before when roaming with orange. They usally just check to make sure that you have your roaming enabled and say the problem is with the service provider in the country you are visiting :) You might also want to check out the GPRS rates of the various networks as well as call rates as thes can vary as much as 10p per min. I have roamed in germany with out any problems .
