SIM Unlock......Help!!!! :)

Hi all,

I would be really grateful if anyone could help with the following SIM Unlock issue.

Basically I've followed these instructions ( http://www.smart-expert.com/delock.htm ) to the letter, but can't seem to get anywhere. I get right the way through the process including retrieving the code, but when I insert a new SIM and try to enter the code, nothing happens and it refuses to unlock! :roll:

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? For info, it's an o2 SIM, and no, I'm not mistaking it for the PIN1 code (thanks Mono!!!) Oh, and it's running the 0.98 bootloader if that's any help! :)

when you boot the SPV up with a "foreign" sim card in it, it should find reception and then lock itself and ask for an unlock code. then simply tap the code in it and it will give you a message stating that your phone is unlocked

The message I get is as follows:

SIM Failure

"The SIM is invalid or cannot be detected. Verify that you have a valid SIM and that it is inserted properly. If the problem persists, contact your customer service centre for assistance"

It seems the SIM must be dodgy then :) I just haven't been able to try it in anyone else's phone yet. That will be my next task! :roll:
