Warning sound on silent mode

is there a way to remove the warning sound,

even when you are on silent mode.

this is very annoying when typing messages if you make a mistake with the keys.

Decrease earpiece volume to zilch. That is clicking that vol. down button on the side..

nah, that doesn't do it either. i've noticed that the earpiece is not universal, nor the profile "silent", eg the camera app still making shutter sound (and ialbum), error msgs etc.

I presume we can replace the wav files, but i was wondering if we can tinker with the registry also, to make a proper toggleable mute as on the PocketPc. midnight? i've noticed a couple of keys related to sound vol.
