Why don't you just use the 8mb SD that came with your phone?

You hard reset the same way without a card as with a card, you

just have to be very good on your timing.

If you have the latest update it will make thimgd harder. ;)

Try using the de-cert program that helps with the tricky bit where you have to be fast.
