Unlocking your phone through Orange

Is there any BigBrother effect in unlocking your phone through their website? Its asking:

- My Name

- My Email address

- My Phone Number

- My IMEI number

Please advise?

why are you worried mate? the worst they can do is lock it again.

Not really, they know this info anyway, it's in the system. If mobile number and IMEI records match you get it unlocked. If you had a replacement, you need to find 'action register' on their site that would link your replacement SPV IMEI (unique serial number) and your mobile no. in their database, then you can unlock.

Your name - why would you be worried about giving your name?

Your email - same as above, plus Orange can use it to inform you of developments on the SPV front.

IMEI/phone number: Pretty much self-explanatory, really. I mean, it's not as if Orange don't know it already.. :)

You're using O's phone on O's network, and as such they're entitled to a little info about you even if only for statistical use.
